LTE Issues
Light Reading published an article based on discussions from the LTE World Summit. Carriers there identified a number of issues that need to be resolved before they deploy LTE, including:
Let's see what the Japanese do. They led on 3G. They will also lead on LTE. The UK will follow several decades behind and its politicians will claim world leadership as they sign contracts using taxpayer's money with Chinese vendors. Meanwhile UK taxpayers will be paying bank bonuses and using dial-up over GSM.
ReplyDeleteVerizon in the U.S. also promises to be on the leading edge with LTE. The CDMA operators are looking for a way out. The WiMAX deployments in both countries are providing some additional impetus.
